About

From her studio by the Scottish coast in East Lothian, Catriona Mackay designs and handmakes textured, sculptural jewellery.
Catriona has always been drawn to the beauty of nature and living by the coast has inspired her collections that feature melted textures, organic twists, waves and locally found shells. She first cast shells into silver after being inspired by her youngest son asking her to keep a special one safe for him forever.
Using traditional silversmithing (trained at Leith School of Art and self taught over the years) techniques and the ancient craft of lost wax casting, Catriona's designs uses only recycled sterling silver and lab-created or ethically-sourced gemstones to make her jewellery as ethically responsible as possible.
